Struggling again

Well, here I am, struggling again.

I finally made it to 59 kgs. in june, but after my honeymoon and our Chilean patriotic festivities I'm weighting 68.6 kgs. (150.9 lbs)!!!

I can't believe it!!! I've never been that heavy in my entire life!!! I want to cry. I want to scream!!! But I won't. Instead, I will start following a diet again, and I will excercise regularly.

I'll try the Mediterranean Diet. You can find it in here: http://www.mediterraneandietonline.es/en-us/recipes.aspx in English and Spanish.

I read the Mediterranean Diet is easier to stick to, because it's not too restrictive, so you can mantain your weight loss longer in time.

Alright, let's go!!!

Salty Food Craving Solution

I had the worst salty food craving last night. I just really NEEDED something crunchy and salty. But, instead of going for potato chips, I had pickles. That's right: vinegar marinated veggies!!! No carbs, no greases, just acid vegetables. I found it's a great craving quencher.

How I didn't think of it before???

My Goal

Now I weight: 60.5 kgs.

I want to reach a weight of: 58 kgs.

I know it doesn't sound much (5.5 lbs.), but it is huge for me.

My weight loss story

OK, I'm just another fish in the weight loss ocean. This may not be interesting to anyone, but I really think I need to register my progress, goals, failures, thoughts, etc.

I apologize in advance for the following:

- My bad English (I'm Spanish native),
- Boring you with my constant random thoughts,
- My terrible sense of humor,
- Anything else, 'cause I'm just SO annoying sometimes.

My Story:

I was a thin child, no weight problems. A little chubby cheeks, if you want but nothing else.

When I turned 11, I started to develop and getting fat.

I've never been huge, just fat.

I'm 160 cms. (aprox. 5'3") tall. And I think I was about 65 kgs. (aprox. 143 lbs.) at the age of 13, so I was clearly overweighted but not obese.

A couple of years later, I went to California for 1 and a half month on vacation I quickly won about 6 pounds and kept them until the age of 23.

Parenthesis: You Americans have so many junk food alternatives!!! I went to Mac Donalds. I ate one pint of icecream in one TV session! OMG how I ate!!!

I started going to the gym in College and eating bearly 600 calories a day, 1000 calories maximum. I was killing my self. I DO NOT recommend it!!! Finally I reached a weight of 106 pounds. I felt good. People congratulated me. But I returned to my old unhealthy habits and I gained back all of that weight and more.

And so on... I think since the age of 12 I've been alternating periods of dieting/exercising and out of control eating/sedentarism. I do not know how to balance.

Now I'm on a diet to get rid of the nearly 13 pounds I gained on my last trip to Brazil, and when I reach my goal, I will have to learn how to maintain that weight...
